Amarone |

The vineyards that produce the grapes for the vinification of Amarone are located in the Valpolicella Classica hillside area. Fieramonte, Monte dei Galli, Carpan, Scornocio and Volta are located at about 250 m a.s.l. and have a prevalently south eastern exposure to the sun.
Some of these vineyards produce grapes for the production of Valpolicella Classico.
The climate is mild and temperate, thanks to the presence of the Lessinia high plateau and the Dolomites to the north and the vicinity of Lake Garda, which further improves the climate.
The terrain is sufficiently rich in various minerals. Planting is realised with the arbour system, with about 3,000 vines per hectare, thereby permitting perfect ripening of the grapes, which are earmarked for drying.
