Robert Parker, universally considered the most authoritative wine critic, has published his appraisal after tasting 12 vintages of Allegrini Amarone. The event is so important that I have decided to reproduce it for you here in its entirety, with all his keen and absolutely gratifying observations. The news of this vertical tasting, rather a rare occurrence for the Parker editorial establishment, demonstrates that Allegrini and its flagship wine, Amarone, deserve the attention and respect that is due to the top producers and their unique accomplishments.
Such recognition is an honor for my Family and for the Valpolicella Classico zone: it rewards us for all our tireless efforts in the vineyards and in the winery, and is a pleasure for our numerous friends, importers, restaurant and wine-bar clients and every day consumers who have believed in us over many years and have always given us their support.
